Eating
Posted by admin on April 9th, 2007 filed in Diet GeneralNew York Times bestseller, Eating for Life written by Bill Phillips is your guide to great nutrition and healthy foods. Eating for Life is based on food proportion and healthy lifestyle changes. This program shows that with intense exercise, motivation and nutritional foods, weight loss goals can be achieved. In 12 weeks, results will be prevalent and your life will change for the better.
Within this program you will train weight train 3 days a week and aerobic train 3 days a week. Your diet will consist of 6 small moderate sized meals a day, for 6 days, so you are feeding your body and not starving. Each meal will be filled with vegetables, potatoes, egg whites, brown rice, poultry, lean meat or fish and on the last day, there will be no exercising and you can eat just about anything that you would like to.
During the program, you must continuously drink 10 glasses of water every day, so that your body does not become dehydrated. The average body loses about 1 liter of water a day through perspiration and other bodily processes. With intense exercise, you are able to lose twice that and this is why it is imperative that you drink as much water as possible throughout the program and really throughout life.
Eating for Life is mainly made up of 40 percent carbohydrates, 40 percent protein and very little fat. This pyramid is very different from the food guide pyramid, including 60 percent carbohydrates, 20 percent protein and 20 percent fat. In addition, Bill Phillips also believes in nutritional supplements. The company encourages that you buy supplements such as flaxseed for your benefit only. Nutritional supplements are very useful and will increase your energy tremendously because nourishing the body is extremely important.
If you apply the information from the book to your daily life, you will be eating right, reducing body fat, increasing your energy and enjoying a greater health!
